"Education is not the learning of facts, but the training of the mind to think."

About learning

I see education as an opportunity to climb to the top of a mountain and discover magnificent new landscapes. It can be exhausting to climb — you might think you can’t make it to the top, and you might feel like giving up. But when you finally get there and see it all, you just bloom.

I have personally participated in many formal and non-formal learning processes, and I know how important it was for me to feel safe enough to be vulnerable and ask questions — to know that all opinions were welcome, and that the learning process challenged me and made me rethink myself and my practice. I am grateful to all my trainers, teachers, and mentors, and I enjoy designing experiential learning processes that engage the heart, head, and hands.

I love working on topics such as youth work, alternative care, non-formal education, creative techniques, social inclusion, volunteering, and mental health. I can tailor a training program to your needs, or you can join one of the trainings I organise.

Learning through my lens

Looking for a training or lecture?

  • Supervision!? – offers insights into what supervision is and how it can be organised.

  • Peervision / Intervision – offers insights into the importance of peer supervision and ways ho professionals can support each other.

  • In Search of Home – presents the findings of my doctoral thesis on how young people with care experience (aged 24–30) reflect on their lives in care, their leaving care process, and their current quality of life, as well as guidelines for improving care from their perspective.

The average daily rate that organisations in Europe pay for a trainer is currently around 350 euros, and the total price is agreed upon during the contracting process, depending on the number of training days, preparation and reporting time, travel, accommodation, and other specific details.

Feel free to contact me if you would like me to create a customised training tailored to the needs of your organisation, or if you would like to join one of the lectures or trainings I occasionally offer.
